Xobni doesn't search for accented letters any more.
Hi, I just installed the latest and greatest version of Xobni (1.8.3 build 7919) however my joy at having the latest version has quickly turned to dismay as I find that searches that I regularly performed right up until this morning, no longer work!
The problem? It appears that the free version of Xobni (either by accident, or by design) no longer indexes, or no longer allows searches to include, accented letters (e.g. é as in médico etc.)
With the previous version I had installed, 1.7.x the search worked perfectly. Now a search for a word with one or more accented letters results in a search for multiple partial words, e.g. a search for médico results in the equivalent of a search for "m dico" (without quotes, that's a Plus feature :-)
Please tell me this is a bug in the latest version, otherwise Xobni just lost all utility for me (since the vast majority of my emails are in Portuguese!)

Inappropriate?Xobni 1.8.3.7917. My emails are mostly in Russian. Search works fine for English words, and finds only Contacts (no emails) for Russian words

Inappropriate? Some of my emails are in Russian. Xobni does not seem to be indexing them at all. Any solution?

Inappropriate?Hi,
I have read that you solved the problem in searching accented word.
However, is the solution good for non-English search? I still have problem in searching Korean word in Xobni 1.8.3 (build 7917).
As you see below, I tried to search a world combined English and Korean, but the result only shows as if I am searching English only.
Regards,
YS

Hi YS Kang, I'm not sure if our fix will fully work with Korean, but please give it a try and let us know how it works. http://www.xobni.com/download -
Inappropriate? The fix should be good for all languages supported by Unicode. There may be some languages that don't fall into that category, though I'm not aware of those. The update should be available by the end of the week.
Thanks!
I’m confident
