Google Voice Integration
When viewing a contact in the main pane, why not allow a right click on the contact's phone number send the data to Google Voice? That way you can make voice calls from Xobni.

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw how Xobni works with contacts in Outlook! Would LOVE for that to be a feature!

absolutely agree. It'd be fantastic to be able to initiate a Google Voice call to a contact from the Xobni UI in Outlook. HUGE value.

I would love to see Google Voice integration with Xobni as well.

Love Xobni, use it constantly. Google Voice integration would be another killer feature to an already great product

I use Google Voice for all of my outgoing business calls. This would make life SO much easier.

I’m
excited
Hey all,
Sorry for not responding to this sooner. I too use Google Voice and agree that it would be a great feature! I have forwarded the idea to our product team (XI-8829).
Thanks!

I'm obviously late to the party, but did this Google Voice integration ever happen?

Oh I would LOVE THIS!! I have used Google Voice/GC for over 2 years. It's is a pain to have to find the number to dial out of GV(so the caller ID shows up right), but to have the click link like Skype would be amazing!!

Since you likely have multipl phones defined in GV, Xobni should allow you to choose which phone GV should ring when placing the call, possibly with a default.
So, right click on the contact, select "Call via GV from ..." and it has a nested context menu with the phones you have defined in GV. That way, it doesn't have to ring all your phones.... -

Solid idea John. I know it's not what you proposed, but with the Gmail phone capability (using your GV account), you can set up Gmail to run like Outlook with a "Xobni like" vertical bar in the right hand margin. You do it by using the Rapportive extension for either Chrome or Firefox. Again, I know it's not what you suggested, but it's a pretty cool alternative:
