Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 19:31 to the question "Problem in Downloading Xobni on Blackberry Storm" in Xobni:
Hi Bharat,
Sorry to hear about the issue! What carrier are you on? I noticed that some T-Mobile users were getting this error (albeit for another application)
"I had my browser set for internal (company firewall and DNS blocking etc...)
Changed it back to T-Mobile network, and what do you know I was able to install."
Does it make any difference if you use wifi vs. over carrier?
Finally, can you see if Xobni added an entry to Applications and delete it:
Options > (Advanced Options) > Applications > Xobni > Delete
Then try downloading again from http://bb.xobni.com
If this doesn't resolve it, can you please submit a support case describing what you did, and the results. We will help you out!
Thanks!
Eirik
Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 17:49 to the question "Xobni One and BES" in Xobni:
Hi Jerrold,
Sorry about that - I was a bit quick to respond there! Xobni One will provide a backup of the Xobni data, but the most important benefit will be if you want to replicate the contents between multiple instances of Xobni (Outlook or multiple devices). Xobni for BlackBerry (without Xobni One) will only be able to mine contact information based on the correspondence currently on the phone.
Does this help?
Thanks,
Eirik
Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 17:00 to the question "Xobni One and BES" in Xobni:
Hi Jerrold,
The main difference is that Xobni mines all the contact info from all your correspondence, resulting in a contact list that is on average 10 times bigger! Xobni Rank lists the results by relevance, so that you don't have to scroll alphabetically through, say, 50 Davids.
See this link for more:

I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Eirik

Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 14:56 to the question "plus v. one" in Xobni:
Hi Ron,
Thanks for the question. Xobni One is the service that keeps your contacts up to date between your device and the cloud. If you use Xobni in Outlook as well, Xobni One will maintain changes between them.
Xobni Plus adds the advanced features for the Outlook client:

I hope that helps.

Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 14:01 to the question "Changelog for build 10169?" in Xobni:
Hi Bob,
Thanks for the question! We will generally publish release information here, and there will be an update shortly:
http://www.xobni.com/blog/tag/release...
The new build is related to our new Xobni for BlackBerry product, so many of the features are related to our Xobni One update service, as well other improvements:

I hope this helps.

Hi Josh,
Thanks for taking the time to talk to us yesterday. We are in the process of trying to reproduce the issue by installing Google Sync and other apps.
I realize it's a moot point for you now, but jedediah provided this helpful article:

Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 12:39 to the problem "How to i create address book from current emails on BB" in Xobni:
Hi Phil,
Thank you for your question and sorry for the inconvenience. It may take some time for the full indexing to take place, but after a full update with Xobni One, you should have access to all the email indexes.
I will follow up with you directly on your support case (thanks for submitting it).
I appreciate your patience.

Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 12:36 to the idea "Blacklist certain phone numbers from being auto-extracted" in Xobni:
Hi,
Thank you for your question. In the latest version of Xobni you should be able to delete a phone number and it should not re-appear for that contact. Can you please download the latest build and see that helps?

Eirik
A comment on the question "Why is the wrong phone number showing?" in Xobni:
Hi,
Sorry to hear that you are still having this issue. Can you hover over the "i" next to the phone number to see where Xobni found the information? Does it happen with more than one contact? Can you edit it manually for now, by selecting the Edit button for the profile?
Thanks,

Eirik Oeyo replied on March 17, 2010 12:05 to the question "Blakberry without data" in Xobni:
Hi,
Thank you for your interest! The Xobni for BlackBerry $9.99 one-time solution is recommended for non-Outlook users, but it does currently require a data connection in order to download and activate the application. I will run this scenario by our product team and see if there's a workaround.
Regards,
Eirik
