i am not sure if this forum or "everything else" is the right place for this, so please let us know. also i am not sure if it is cool or not to be mentioning other outlook add-ins like i have done a few times here. the problem is that there is so much stuff out there and you just cannot add that many applications into outlook because of toolbar or sidebar room as well as performance. so i want xobni to add everything cool that i see in other plugins, haha! sorry, i am an outlook junkie who spends at least 10 hours a day doing work all day in outlook responding to emails and then all my personal email is there too, so i really want it to be as supercharged in features as possible.
ok, now that i rambled about that, just wanted to show something i just saw: http://www.lookeen.net/en/2,0/Product.html
i havent tried it, but just looking at the screenshots it looks like there are some ideas for filtering of information and search results that might make xobni even more powerful. of course that product is 30 euros so i dont think anyone is replacing xobni with it anytime soon! so, just some ideas guys!
Moved to "Everything Else" forum...
Lookout was a great search engine for Outlook before M$ brought em out. More info from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Lookout_d4808.html
It was great to be able to enter a search pattern such as:
From:Fred Attachment:yes Filetype:doc Subject:Rugby Body:-Wales
Which would return all emails from Fred which contained an attachment with the extension of .Doc and had the subject of rugby but not Wales in the email's body.
I know we get some of that already, but this level of fine searching would be great.

I agree, ex lookout user here (lost it with Outlook 2007). I am presently using Xobni AND X1, which is too much overhead, but keeps me covered. I am waiting for xobni to mature and have keyword hints, like "to:bill" or "from:ron" as well as some others.

Yep. Without the advanced search features (to: from: etc.) it doesn't really do what I need. Also, the graph of when mails came in is just eye candy. It's not that illuminating to see "Hey, what do you know, this person sends me a lot of emails during work hours." I'd rather see that graph show emails/day over the last month, and let me click part of the graph to get a list of those emails.
It also seems to bog my machine down pretty noticably (but then I keep 8GB of email attached to my outlook profile). Even so, the MSN desktop search doesn't have near the performance impact.

Go to Xobni | Xobni Analytics,
choose "Mail Traffic" from Reports, "Daily Average" from View, then select the person's name and click Apply Filter.
Is that what you were looking for?

I use Lookout with Outlook 2007. Here are instructions for how to install it.

This is the sole reason I keep Copernic (and formerly Lookout) installed. If I need the one email I got from Brad about pizza, not all the emails about pizza from others who cc'd Brad, Xobni just doesn't give me the ability to do that, and it's a shame because I need that functionality fairly frequently (what can I say, Brad's thoughts on pizza are important). Advanced, field-specific search would be a HUGE improvement!

By the way, why isn't this in the "Feature Request" forum?
