undo combined email profiles

I have accidentally combined two email address for two different people into one profile. If I rename one of them, they both change. Is this process reversable in any way? If not, it should be for future releases.

We're investigating ways of doing this, but for now, there's no way to unmerge to contacts. You'll need to uninstall, and then reinstall Insight, and see if that fixes the issue.

Unfortunately you cannot uncombine profiles once you've combined them. It's something that's on the radar, but I can't say that it's coming anytime soon.

If you really want to uncombine these, the best way to do it would be to delete your Xobni indexes and allow Xobni to "start from scratch" in terms of syncing data. NOTE: Any manual modifications you've made to the data would be eliminated if you did this.

I have the same problem but this can't be fixed by reinstalling.

A support forum is sending out notifications of my own posted entries with my name in the "From"-field but their sender-address. So Xobni attaches this eMail-address to my name and thinks that those mails came from me.

So when implementing the detach-email-from-name-feature, please keep in mind that this has to be stored somewhere to not happen again on the next mail.
