Hi--thanks for a great product.

I'd like to second the proposed search functions that were mentioned in another thread. I would like more personalized search.

One thing that I love, absoultely love about NEO (Nelson Email organizer) which I consider the best search program for Outlook, is its ability to organize by correspondent. Sometimes people use 2-3-4 different email addresses but I want to view them all together, so I would like the option to combine these addresses and then search by correspondent. That is to me the best way to really find stuff.

Also, "stay in touch".. hmm.. can I customize? i.e. I notice you start putting people on the list after 1 month of no reply to emails that I send (is that the right formula you use?)

I would like to shorten to say 1 or 2 weeks or even immediately. I think this is a wonderful thing as I often send out important emails that I know need to be replied to, and if their names appear on the stay in touch list immediately after I send emails I can cross them off or keep them on depending on urgency.

I think that's all for now.. great start and again I encourage you to study a bit of NEO which has some excellent features that you could think about incorporating into Xobni.

yes, yes, yes! i fell like i am the only one who has used all these programs so glad to hear you are a NEO fan as well! i love NEO but HATE the separate window which i love about xobni. so far only negative is the hanging problems but i am sure they will fix that soon. i agree that if they can add more of the NEO features will be even better. thanx to xobni team!

This exists already. See the FAQ http://www.xobni.com/support/faq#faq-47

If you want to merge a contact who has multiple email addresses please do the following:

1. In Outlook, click on an email from the person in question so that their profile appears in Xobni.

2. In the profile area (top section), right click on the person to bring up an 'edit contact information' menu.

3. Choose a name for your contact.

4. Follow the steps above for each alias you wish to merge with the new contact name.

4. Follow the steps above for each alias you wish to merge with the new contact name.Yes, this all works, but what would make it better would be a way to do multiple merges at once...

If we could Ctrl-Click on multiple email addresses, and merge them together all at once, that would be great.

And the open windows (even those behind the BACK button) need to refresh to reflect the merged names.

It's only really a big deal for new users - once everything's merged and up-to-date, keeping it there won't be a problem - but I can see it making some users just decide not to use Xobni, since it would take too much effort to merge everyone together.

That being said, some kind of merging wizard would be helpful, too... Most of the addresses I merged all had the same names associated with them - couldn't the software suggest that these X addresses should get merged - you can add/remove some if the wizard doesn't figure it out perfectly.

Just something to let the first-timers get up to speed quickly.

Implementing Ctrl-clicking is a good idea, but not on our radar for the foreseeable future. However, we're expecting to roll out a merging wizard in an upcoming release, see http://community.xobni.com/showthread.php?t=114

Issue I have with multiple email addresses is that the name and domain of our company changed several times within the last years. Where the first part of the email adres stays the same, the part after @ changes each time.

It would be a great option to recognize all xx.yy@old.com as xx.yy@new.com.
I think a lot more companies faces the same issue after they were sold or have been merged.
