An option to view timestamps next to the files in the "Files Exchanged" window would do wonders for version control and identifying duplicates. Speaking of duplicates, could Xobni identify emails or contacts that appear to be duplicates? I've noticed many of my stats are off and the primary reason has been the existence of duplicate emails (which are often a result of using webmail/gmail).

Very awesome idea actually!
Timestamps would do WONDERS for attachment dupes & revisions :-)

Hi Coxmada and others-
I think the timestamp on file attachments is a great idea. In general, would you say you are looking for duplicates/versions sent the same day, or on a longer timescale?

Coxmada, regarding your duplicate emails- I noticed you posted a more detailed account in the technical support board. Another one of the Xobni team should be following up with you soon on it. As always, you can contact our tech support through http://www.xobni.com/support/contact

Thanks Dave. Great product. The duplicates I refer to here are different than what I listed in tech support. Here I am talking about duplicates that I may have caused to happen in my pst file. May be I re-installed and all my messages downloaded and now I have 3 months of duplicates or maybe my archive pst file overlaps my current one. When this happens, analytics will be off. Even if there was a little message that said Xobni detected ## potential duplicate emails. I just want to know what I am looking at with the numbers. If I know there are a certain number of duplicates, then I know approximately how far off the numbers may be. The other instance duplicates may happen is when someone shares a folder that has copies of emails. They will exist in your personal folder and your shared folder - thus messing up the analytics. It's a data integrity issue. This isn't a huge issue for me right now, but it would be if I were paying for this and deploying it in my company. Still love the product. If you'd rather I send these to support first I'd be happy to do so.

We're glad to see you like the product. :)
Regarding the duplicate emails- ways for users to manage large volumes of email they may not want Xobni to interact with is something we have been thinking over.

I will forward what you've suggested along to our support team to save you some time.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Coxmada and others-

Hi Dave. I'd like to see longer timescales.
Here's my scenario:
I do a lot of photo work for a teen magazine, about 1 shoot per month. The designers will send me a file named PR_production_notes.pdf which is the designers "vision" and art direction. I do the shoot which I'm required to send back a model release that 'has to be' named PR_model_release.pdf
So when Xobni shows the attacments for that art director I have tons of PR_production_notes.pdf and PR_model_release.pdf all from different shoots with different data.
If the even had a small, simple mm/dd stamp, that would save me from opening 2-3 files until I get the right one.
