I've got a question for the Xobni officials. Is there any chance of our invites getting "refilled" in the future? If I use up all my invites, will I ever get more?

I'm willing to share my invites here in the forum, but I don't want to give them all up.

With the new version (28??) I got an additional 5 invites which was above what I had in the 26xx build.

Please don't ask - they've all gone already :D

I've been looking (and hoping) for an invite for a couple of weeks now and anxious to try out xobni and spread the word. I'm somewhat surprised and frustrated that we (posters to this board) don't have invites yet. I can understand wanting to keep a beta community small and manageable but the people posting to this board are already EXTREMELY interested in trying xobni and perfect candidates for a beta. If you want xobni promoters, we're the best audience.

I also think it's a little unfair to ask people to post buttons and email friends as a way to get an invite. Word of mouth is only effective when people making the recommendation love the product -- not when they know nothing about the product. If someone asked me about xobni right now, I'd have to say it's a great idea but that's all I know -- who knows if it even works?

My point, to any xobni folks reading this, is that you want xobni promoters and the audience here is your best target group for creating them. Why make us wait so long? And please don't hold this against me and put me at the bottom of the list. Really.

Just a note to you all asking for invites...

It'd really be helpful to just put your email address in the post rather than having to PM you. Had you posted your email address in the thread I would have just sent you an invite instead of sending PM's and having to check back for responses and waiting....

Instead, I've sent out 5 PM's and waiting for responses instead of giving out invites.

I finally switched back to Outlook a couple of weeks ago because I was so tired of all the slow loading web based mail services. Even Google Mail is as slow as HoTMaiL. And then no web based service has a real address book. Outlook was and still is the best PIM in my opinion. Just one thing is missing.. XOBNI lol

Or do you mean GrandCentral invites? I don't thiink GC has any invitations anymore, a friend was signing up a few seconds ago - no invitation needed :eek:
