Show other people's calendar

Hi -

If I'm user A with Xobni and user B also has Xobni, can I see their calendar? What if they don't use Xobni, but Outlook?

Xobni itself does not allow you to view someone else's calendar. This is a function of Outlook.

It would be good if Xobni could harness that Outlook functionality to provide a quick glance at people's availability in the sidebar :-)

Showing the calendar (and one day's view would fit into that sidebar nicely) would be very useful even if there was no additional functionality other than a 'go to calendar' button.

But if you are dealing with coworkers then your Exchange/AD account DOES have rights to see their free/busy info from their calendars, so Xobni should be able to get that info same as Outlook does when you go to the "Scheduling" tab of an appointment. If nothing more, I would like to see something like "Next Free at 1 PM" or "Currently In Meeting until 10:30 AM" similar to how Windows Live Messenger integrates with Outlook.

Just want to add my vote for this request.

If I have access to the person's calendar, I would see a section showing that info. If I have permission to see the full calendar, it would list the person's upcoming appointments. If I only have access to their free/busy info, it would show a summary of their availability. Ideally, this would work for public shared calendars (such as Google Calendar) as well as Exchange.

I second all post here...it would be good to add the availability that you have in common with the sender...just like looking up in Outlook. It would be nice since you have the feature of sending your available time if it took into account the person your sendings calendar.
