Is it expected that Outlook RAM usage will go up to 200M with xobni running?

My computer with over 400 contacts and 4GB of email (no that is not a mistake), XobniService is only using up 17MB of RAM and Xobni reports (Outlook Menu Bar > Xobni > About Xobni) it is using up 70MB. That also includes me adding a picture of myself to my Xobni profile on the sidebar. 200MB , that doesn't seem right.

You may want to download the latest version of Xobni, uninstall the older version, reboot, then reinstall the latest version of Xobni.

Be sure to uninstall and install with Outlook closed, just to be safe.

Write back and tell me if it fixed it.

I only installed Xobni for the first time a week or so ago, so I don't think there is anything more recent, right?

@ajkessel - it does sound like you have the most recent version.

In general, 200MB does sound high unless you have a really big mailbox. Would you mind letting us know how much email you have (#mailboxes, #emails)?

I recently reduced my active PST file size from about 1.1 GB down to 660 MB, although now RAM usage is about 235MB.

I would say about 75-100 folders. Just one PST file.

Is there a quick/easy way to get a precise count of #emails and #mailboxes?

If you go to Xobni -> About, you should see a count indicating how many we think you have. That's a good start.

I see Outlook RAM growing dramtically too. I've just killed it (it wouldn't close) at 238MB. I've got the following stats:

22K mails, 890 folders and 4850 people.
1300 contacts, 1250 appointments and 620 tasks.

Hope helps and let me know if you need more info or anything.
