This is a feature I use heavily and was always enabled in Outlook until Outlook 2007, where the default is now "off".
This would allow almost any Outlook form (Contacts, Appointments, Tasks, etc) to have other contacts linked to that item. This is a handy power-feature to really boost Outlooks functionality as a CRM solution.
When I first upgraded to 2007 I freaked because it was gone and I use it heavily to cross link clients to vendors to appointments and so on.
Luckily it's an easy fix to turn it back on in 2007.

To enable Contact Linking:

1. Click Tools and select Options.

2. Click the Contacts Options button.

3. Check the Show Contact Linking on all Forms checkbox.

4. Click OK to close the Contact Options dialog box.

5. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.

Just last week I created a second Calendar in Outlook 2007 called TimeLog that I started using to log billable(green category color) vs non billable time spent during the day. It's been nice to look back on the week and see green :).

Now I can easily attach the customer to it.

Thanks for the tip!

OOh... now, I don't have "billable" clients by the hour, but I do have clients who are (or aren't) worth spending large amounts of time on. What a good way that could be for me to judge time vs. value.

Can't wait to be able to try that out...

That's an awesome idea! I can see that a lot of people would get a lot of use out of profitable time at a glance.

I'm just too lazy to actually track my time hourly. (damn artist types lol)
I'd have to come up with a color code for "wandering the backyard, looking at butterflies when I should be inside working"
LOL :D:D
