Dear xobni team,
yesterday I tested "SyncMyCal" as well as "OggSync". Both tools did not work for me.
Unfortunately xobni stopped working properly after the test. The sidebar does not change contacts. After starting Outlook xobni shows the contact connected to the latest mail. When I click on another mail the status of the Xobni sidebar does not change.
Looking forward to your reply!
Best regards from Berlin – Germany, Phil

Hi,
We have made progress on this issue and would like you to try the following please!
We'd like to try this as an initial fix, just to see if it works for some users:
1. Please close Outlook. You may want to make sure it's closed by checking the Windows Task Manager.
2. Go to the Xobni data directory, which is usually found at: C : Documents and Settings[USER_NAME]Local Settings, Application Data, Xobni. Open the directory for your Outlook profile.
3. Please move the files that start with ite out of this directory. This is usually ite.da and ite.lg.
4. Restart Outlook. Xobni should start and hopefully the problem has gone away.
5. If Xobni does not start, please put the ite.* files back into the directory; things should now be back to the way they were.
Please let us know if this helps!
Hi, I'm having the same issue with the Xobni sidebar not updating when I navigate through my email. I went through the steps indicated with no luck. When I moved the ite.* (ite.da, ite.di, ite.in) files out of the directory, Xobni would start but no data was displayed. When I put the files back, the data was back, but it still will not update and is stuck associated with the first email when I start Outlook.
I am using Windows Vista Business with Outlook 2007 with Xobni version 1.2.3.2952.
I also noticed that the ite.* files changed whether I had Outlook open or not. When open I have ite.lg and ite.da; when closed I have ite.da, ite.di, and ite.in.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I had to reinstall xobni. Now I am back in business. Unfortunately the settings were gone. Backing up the avatar folder helps assigning images to contacts.
Ahhh, much better. That worked - thanks Phil!

MelMcDoogle,
sorry, didn't get your point.
Best regards, Phil
MelMcDoogle was a spam bot, so we thought it'd be a *great* idea to ban him and remove all his posts.
Xobni, now also working towards forum happiness.
