I needed to search for a message from someone that was a request to intern in my office. I thought "Oh, I'll use the xobni search box and search for 'INTERN' and it'll be quick and I'll find it.

No, that was not the case.
Instead, every email that has ever been through Outlook that uses the work "internet" or "international" shows up as well (and the normal footer many of my e-mail pals use includes the word "internet" the search gives me over 20,000 hits. Not really too helpful.

Thus, I wonder if (i) there is a way to search for whole word only and (ii) if there is consideration to searching in fields so I could just search a from field or a message body.

Thanks for any input.

Ditto, artielange. Great question. I often find myself with too many results and the only way I have found a way around it is by starting with the person that I know sent the email and search for a specific word only within their conversations.

Maybe the Xobni staff have a better idea.

For right now, a way to get around this is to add a space to the end of your search term. For example, for intern, you'd have:
"intern " (without the quotation marks)

Richer search capabilities are on our list, so we have a more elegant solution coming :D

Artie, from the HS show? Is that you buddy? If so, I'm a big fan :)
