About 1 week after the launch of our invite system on January 9th, we released an update that addressed some of the most-reported issues by users.

The Release version is 1.2.3.2645. It contains the following fixes:

Users were getting misidentified in some cases. Xobni would think that you're a different person than you really are. We fixed that.
International users with non-US Windows language settings would run into a Windows application bug where their localization registry settings would be corrupted. This would affect Xobni such that we couldn't startup. We now work around this.
We updated our version of Redemption, a library for Outook, to the latest one.
We fixed a number of smaller bugs that weren't user-visible.

How does one go about getting the updates?

There's a process that should be running on your system called XobniService.exe (it's actually part of a service called XobniService). It's configured automatically during installation. This process will check for updates, pull them down and install them when they become available.

In other words, you should be getting updates automatically.

If in doubt...
To check your version, select "About Xobni" from Outlooks Xobni drop-down menu.
The release version referenced above (1.2.3.2645) will be shown in the "About" dialog as Xobni 1.2.3 (build 2645)

Not for me. I still have build 2634. XobniService.exe is running. I have restarted Outlook.

I have also not been notified about the upgrade. I can confirm that xobniservice.exe is running.

I don't have the Xobni service running even after a re-install. I assume that has to do with the fact I'm running 64 bit Vista. Everything else works fine except for the Outlook hang problem discussed elsewhere on the site. Is there another way to get the update? Is 64 bit the problem?

I think Gabor meant to write January 9th. Good catch!

But today I am up to 1.2.3.2645. New files are dated yesterday.

I also am not getting updates. I'm at 1.2.3 Build (2567). Keep in mind that I'm behind a proxy. (is there a way to configure Xobni update to use the proxy?) I also get an error when trying to check for updates. (connection error I think.)

I also have the XobniService running. I have no files created (modified, but not created) before 12/11/07 other than xobniServiceInstallState.dat.

Xobni 2645 looks good here.

Any news on when we might see the next build ?

Same issue, I;ve seen the posts about "Hey there's a new build" but I'm behind a corporate firewall and nothings coming down.

Still at V 1.2.3 build 2588

How about a download link for the upgrades ?
