So, because I may be forced to Lotus in the near future, are there any plans to port Xobni to Lotus at some point in time? I know it wont happen for a while, but will if ever?
Thanks

I don't know much about Lotus... that may work. I would have to test it when I get to the new company. I do like that Lotus work in Linux though!

Lotus Notes Connector does work well with Domino. I use it with Outlook and it works quite well.
The question I have is how to get Xobni to recognize Lotus-Notes e-mail addresses? i.e. If I have an e-mail from John Smith/ee/dp/aaa, Xobni does not recognize this as a valid e-mail address.
What does Xobni use to identify e-mail addresses? does it need to be of the format John.Smith@anywhere.com? Does it use Outlook Properties to determine if it is an e-mail address? I think not.

I also use the DAMO Notes connector, and it works great--but not with xobni. xobni does not recognize the Notes-style addresses. It indexes the emails from traditional-style addresses just fine: name@address.dom It ignores those from these styles: name/loc/loc "friendly name" <name@address.dom> All of my emails do come in through the Notes connector, so it's not that the connector and xobni are completely incompatible. It just seems that xobni ignores emails if the from address is of one of these other styles. Is there a way to configure it so that it will work?

Hi,
Has anyone found a resolution to this issue? I use Outlook with the connector and your right it doesn't recognize the LN format mentioned above. Has Xobni team responded?
GREAT Product BTW!
THANKS!

I would like to add my voice regarding Xobni support for Lotus Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook (DAMO). Hopefully it is not a big change to recognize and accept email addresses other than name@company.com. My company is the largest user of Lotus Notes on the planet, so DAMO is a key integration strategy for me :). TIA, \Eric

Let me add my voice to this thread. I work for the City and County of San Francisco and we are piloting DAMO to use Outlook over our Domino server. I have noticed the same that no emails are really being recognized.
Can someone from Xobni ring in and tell us if this fix is on the table. If not, I will uninstall and keep my eye on the project. If it is being worked on, I will leave the app installed and spread the gospel when it is ready for primetime.
Thanks,
Dave
We're just beginning to investigate this issue, so I think a fix will be a ways off. We'll keep you guys updated and post back here once we have a fix.
Thanks!

@kayem - Thanks for this clear explanation! Confirmed why xobni analytics are not working 100% with Lotus DAMO for Outlook.
Also, emails sent from Lotus contacts via Blackberry Enterprise Server come through in 'name@address.dom' format.
You can merge the two contacts in xobni, ie 'name@address.dom' + 'name/loc/loc', but the analytics don't include both.

@dave - Great product. Hope you can introduce parsing for additional address formats!
