How to disable auto-update?

I'd like to get notified when there are new releases, but I travel and need to have control over my bandwidth when I'm not on a high-speed link. How can I disable auto-updates - or ideally set it to notify me but prompt me before it downloads and installs?

The process you have suggested is not implemented within Xobni as yet. To disable automatic updates temporarily while developers implement this function, you may disable XobniService.exe through your windows task manager.
